CHAIRMAN & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
ANGEL A. RIOS (HE/HIM/HIS)
Angel A. Rios serves as the Network's Board Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and therefore leads the day-to-day operations of our organization; setting high-level strategy, assuring fiscal integrity and longevity, overall mission-based adherence, and programming deployment and development.

Mr. Rios is a former small business owner, non-profit executive, political advisor, and campaign staffer, having worked on Hillary Clinton's 2016 Presidential bid, Michael Bloomberg's 2020 Presidential bid, several congressional bids for the U.S House and Senate, and many local and state-level campaigns, from San Francisco to Los Angeles, and New York to Mississippi.

He has twice run for the United States House of Representatives as a Democrat, once in his home state of California against entrenched eleven-term incumbent Republican Ken Calvert, and once in Mississippi against the extremist Chairman of the House Rules Committee, Michael Guest.

As a non-profit executive Mr. Rios has additionally worked closely with the White House and United States Department of Labor under the Presidency of Barack Obama and Secretary Tom Perez, on matters pertaining to youth-on-youth violence, serving as an Ambassador for the Administration's Y2Y Campaign, deployed under the National Office of Job Corps. He has further worked as the Communications Director for the League of Women Voters of Seattle-Kings County.​

An avid participant in philanthropic endeavors, Mr. Rios is a former Madison Member of the Founder's Council at the National Archives Foundation, former Member of the Young Professional's Council at the LGBT Center of Los Angeles (the largest of its kind in the world), is a former Member of the Museum Council of Greater Philadelphia, and former Member of the League of Women Voters of Oktibbeha County, and At-Large Member of the League of Women Voters of Mississippi.

Mr. Rios is a second-generation high school graduate, a proud member of the Latino Community, proud son of a vibrant and resilient immigrant neighborhood in the barrios of the Inland Empire of Southern California, an out and proud member of the L(G)BTQIA+ Community, he holds a License in Pharmaceutical Science and Technology from the California State Board of Pharmacy.

Committed to the future of Washington, Mr. Rios is also a candidate for D.C Shadow Representative in the 2026 General Election, and is running as a Democrat. He is a resident of D.C's Chinatown Neighborhood.
